Now you need to adjust the brightness of each layer, the brighter it is, the more shiny it is, with black being completely non reflectiv and white being like chrome. Make all the layers greyscale (Ctrl+Shift+U in Photoshop) (this is optional, you could also just paint over them, still, just using greyscale colors though)Ħ. Use the parts layer as a guide to delete anything that covers it, you need to see the original specocc layer where the parts layer is, because that includes most of the interior and under the hood parts, you're only interested in just the bodyĥ. *This is an important one* Copy the parts layer (I'm assuming you're using the templates, if not, you really should).

Make a blank layer on top of the old specocc map and fill it with grey color (just don't draw over it or delete the original layer, you will need it)ģ, Copy your graphics and decal layers from your main skin file to the specocc file, and it will make it easier if you put all of the same color in one layer, or in this case red and orange could probably be in one layer (to align them properly, first add a little paint dot at two diagonally opposite corners)Ĥ. Open the original specocc, so you have the correct alpha channelĢ. I have a number of things to do to it to finish it off yet but I am hoping to have it finished by the end of the weekįor the specocc I usually do it like this:ġ. To be honest It was very rushed as I had to submit this for a college project so I only had a few hours to do this.Īlso, its based off Bruno Thierry's Ford Escort from Spain 1996 hence why the repsol is so far away from the Ford Logo. Great job anyway for a first livery, I like it and I wouldn't do it better :) I'm not making any liveries so it's just a 3rd party view - not sure if all of these are possible. Pic: Make the wole rear hood dark blue as Repsol's background, I think it may give a nice touch and you'll be able to pull that logo a bit down at the center of hood. There's too much space between Ford and Repsol, yet too less space below it.ģ. Pic: Bring that Repsol logo on front hood a bit up top. Pic: The side spoiler stickers could be widened a bit across the spoiler, they're crossing their whitespace borders.Ģ.

I fully understand that this is probably an easy fix but i said I would consult people of this forum first to see what input they could have.Īnd some more shots of the livery so far.Īpologies for the poor graphics, my laptop is nowhere near capable of running DiRT Rally well, I only play is on console at the moment, i just got it for PC just to do this for my college project.ĭon't take my post wrong, just a bit of insight since I've been working with brand logos so treat it as a most constructive comment that I'm able to write :)ġ. I covered the Door Number with a white rectangle however under certain light in the games it is still visible. So I edited the plain red livery of the Fiesta WRC as I could this easy to edit. I was creating a DiRT Rally livery for a college project a few weeks ago but like every other college project any student does, it was rushed at the last minute :/ So the livery was not fully completed, however I fully intend on completing it now that I am done for the summer however, I have an issue with it that didn't bother me for the project at the time but I would like to fix it now.
